How Do I Apply?
Kickstart your Break Through Tech experience by completing an interest form for your program of choice. If you’re unsure which program is right, please attend an info session. For a complete list of info session dates and times, visit the Sprinternships™ or AI Program page.
The application for the 2025-2026 AI Program is now open. Submit your application by January 13th for our priority deadline, or February 24th for our final deadline.

Who Is Eligible?
Eligibility requirements differ slightly between Break Through Tech programs. Please refer to the program pages to learn more about our program offerings.
AI Program Eligibility & Timeline
Applicants interested in the AI Program must:
- Be currently enrolled in an associate’s (two-year) or bachelor’s (four-year) degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States.
- Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Spring or Fall 2026, 2027, or 2028. If you are currently enrolled in an associate’s degree program, you must be planning to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program by Fall 2025.
- Major or plan to major in computer science, engineering, math, or other related disciplines.
- Be in good academic standing with at least a 2.0 GPA and on track to graduate.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, DACA recipient or visa holder with a U.S. Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Strong preference is given to applicants who can prove authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship with valid U.S. identification.
- Have one to two years (or two to four semesters) of foundational coding experience in any language.
- Have a valid U.S. address and reside in the United States during the AI Program.
Sprinternship™ Eligibility & Roadmap
Applicants interested in a Sprinternship™ must:
- Prove authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship with valid U.S. identification.
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s (four-year) degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States
- Major or plan to major in computing, information technology, network engineering, or a related discipline
- Be in good academic standing with at least a 2.0 GPA and on track to graduate.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform technical work in computing, engineering or related disciplines.
- Be available to work up to three weeks (15 work days) full time (40 hours per week) during noted program dates
- Have a valid U.S. address and reside in the United States during the Sprinternship™.
