Melissa is a results-driven leader with 20+ years of experience leveraging technology to make learning more accessible, personalized, engaging and effective. Melissa started her career as a Teach for America Corps 
Member in New York City, where she taught for eight years. After leaving the classroom, Melissa has held leadership roles at organizations like Peer Forward, Adobe, Code.org, and General Assembly where she has worked to increase access to careers in tech for folks from non-traditional backgrounds. Before joining Break Through Tech, Melissa led Engineering Enablement at Shopify where she was responsible for early career programs, learning and development, culture and communications for a global team of 4,000+ developers and data scientists. At Break Through Tech, Melissa oversees the successful delivery of our programs across our national and regional sites.
